I bought this to go with my Penn spinfisher V to surf fish in Daytona Fl and it worked well with the perfect size and balance but I only gave it 3 stars because the build quality looked like it was made by a 3rd grader it had epoxy drips everywhere and the joint was loose and sometimes the top half of the rod would twist at the seam. It had a thin plastic jam nut on the reel seat that just felt like it would strip out if I tightened it to tight, for that kind of money the reel seat should have been all metal.
