These were comfortable to ride in the first time out. Footbed is VERY well-insulated and completely comfortable. They do push into the back of the ankle while walking, but they aren't walking shoes, they're riding boots - nice, warm ones! I like how they look, they fit just right and I recommend them to anyone who is looking. They are pretty thick, so figuring out what your feet are doing takes a little getting used to. (For example, I couldn't feel how far into the stirrups my feet were resting.) So far, I've ridden in them only 4 or 5 times and I look forward to using them all season long!
