These are very well cushioned and flexible. Very good for taking the slamming out of being pulled by a pack of dogs, and the cushioning lasts longer than other types (air, gel, foam, etc.) I did have one of the segments in the rear break eventually, on the original pair I bought from the manufacturer, so I reordered from Amazon and got them much quicker because of Prime, and for the same price. Very happy to have these.
