Montrail Men's Badrock Trail Running Shoe,Black/Yellow,7 M US Review

This shoe was my choice after trying on various Salomons, La Sportiva and other Montrails.
The tread is pretty agressive. Great for trails or ultralight hike-throughs.
I just put 9 miles on them this morning, they felt great!

Out of all the trail running shoes these were by far the widest non-wide sole and the most comfortable option for me.

MTI Adventurewear Headwater High Buoyancy PFD Life Jacket (Black/Gray, X-Small/Small) Review

I bought the MTI Headwater PFD because it has 26 pounds of flotation, when most Type III life vests only has 15.5-16.5 pounds. For swimmers, 16 pounds will be sufficient. However non swimmers will need a PFD with at least 22 pounds of flotation. The Headwater is surprisingly comfortable to wear for extended periods, and although it feels a bit bulky towards the front (the foam is > 2 inches thick at the front), it does not restrict body motion or arms.

The product fit and quality appears to be excellent. Although this PFD comes with reflective tapes, I would prefer that MTI offers it in visible colors like yellow, orange or red. I also find surprising that the Headwater does not come with standard crotch straps. A crotch strap or leg strap will prevent the PFD from riding up and is usually standard on children PFD. MTI does not even offer a crotch strap nor does MTI recommend which crotch straps to use. In the end, after much research, I went with the NRS leg straps and they work fine on the Headwater.
