I'm a picky monster when it comes to sports vests. I live downtown, and need a vest I can wear on a run, or a whole bunch of shopping errands, without looking like i swiped it from my husband's closet, or like I'm in a breast cancer awareness walk-a-thon (note to women's sport clothing designers: I'm so sick of pink that the anxiety of finding only pink technical wear is probably GIVING me breast cancer!).

By amazing good fortune, I stumbled across this smartwool stretch wool vest. It's warm, but not too warm for Seattle's not-so-cold environment. It's nicely fitted (it actually has a waist, although I'd call it semi-fitted... it does not fit close to the body, at least on my relatively small-breasted frame). The zip pocket lies flat when not in use and is in the perfect spot. There's even a little chafe-guard at the top of the zipper.

I deduct one star because, for me, the vest flares a little too much at the hip (though I have plenty of hip curve), and because it's just a little short (mostly unfair... I'm very tall).

Overall, highly recommended! So much so, that I'm now keeping my eye on you, SmartWool!
