Pioneer TS-W309S4 12 Subwoofer with Single 4 Ohm Voice Coil Review

First off I bought these when amazon kept having them on sale for ~$50 Shipped. At $100 don't touch them, there are better options.

I went through 4 of these before I gave up on them. They are great sounding subs as long as you are not trying to actually bump them hard at 400RMS. My system is properly tuned and even with gain turned all the way down to prevent clipping these things still smoked.

Pioneer customer support is a joke. When i called and told them the amp I was using they told me that it wasn't enough wattage to power these subs. That they need 1400 watt RMS and that the "Nominal" wattage means they can't handle anything under 400. That was literally one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. It this point I was fed up and hung up.

I bought some 400 watt RMS JVCs. They are louder and have been working fine for over a year now.
