The bottom housing was just like the original. I also replaced the top housing at the same time, the whole procedure took about 30 minutes. Just be careful to remember exactly where all the plastic hoses go, because they can easily get pinched if in the wrong position which will keep the two halves from fitting together properly. It is a tight fit even when done correctly.
