Employing a unique design concept that offers flex, fit and support along with a multi-fit footbed system and a breathable, unlined, armored mesh upper, the Salewa Fire Vent Trail Shoe offers technical performance and lightweight comfort for day hikes, scrambling and approach hikes. A synthetic upper made from micromesh, armored mesh and Aramidic rubber offer great breathability and durability and the 360 degree Kevlar rand increases foot protection on rough trails. Salewa uses their Three Functions System, which consists of Fit, Flex and Support, to offer a more precise fit. Part of this system is built around the Salewa "Y" design, improving fit around the heel and ankle while increasing flexibility through the collar of the shoe without giving up support. The climbing lace-to-toe lacing system makes a more customized fit possible in the toe box and adjusts well to the natural asymmetry of the human foot. The Fire Vent also offers a unique footbed that allows individual adjustment of the fit through Salewa's Multi-Fit foot bed system. The bottom layer can be easily removed from this two-part foot bed to increase the volume within the boot for wider feet or left intact for medium to lower volume feet. An EVA midsole and heel shock absorber dampen impacts on the downhill and the Vibram Tech Approach, sticky rubber outsole offer sure footing on rocky surfaces. First off I ordered these while deployed. I needed some new shoes because I had some boots that were just way too hot and heavy for the conditions out here. I received them in a timely manner. When I first opened the box I noticed how well the shoes were made and the quality was great. There's a cable that's wrapped from the top two lace holes which goes to the bottom of the shoe and around the back(ankle), which when you tighten the lace for final tie, it secures this cable around your ankle tightly and prevents your heel from slipping out. Really neat feature that I've never seen on any other shoe before. The shoes are light and well ventilated though very rugged. When I first started wearing them, they were a bit difficult to break in and get soft and flexible. I had some pain on one of my toe bones on the side, as if they were too tight around. But after about a week+ of usage in these rugged conditions, they softened right up and are just amazing to walk in on the tough rocks and gravel. The front and sides have increased wear resistance for side wall scraping and impact. The bottom of the shoe is great for traction with it's design. The shoelace holes are strong and will not wear very easily. I am satisfied with this shoe and am glad I chose them.

I wanted a non-gigantic everyday sports watch. After purchasing a few (Citizen's and Wenger) and returning them, finally this Momentum watch solved all my needs: it is incredibly comfortable, durable (I dropped it face first onto the floor, with no ill-consequences), not to mention beautiful. Particularly in the summer, in Florida, it is unbearable to wear rubber or stainless steel bands. This canvas band is perfect, and it has two opposing stainless arcs which make the strap stay in place. Did I mention this watch is beautiful?!!! I have several watches, but regardless if this watch matches what I'm wearing or not, I still choose it everyday because of what a pleasure it is to wear. I highly recommend this watch. If I had the money, I would buy it in every color.

This is the first nice knife that I have bought. I work as a stock clerk for a grocery store. This easily cuts through plastic pallet wrap. Also the knife will easily cut loose strands on clothing. The knife performs flawlessly when cutting boxes and tape. So far the knife has held up well this last week I've owned it. My knife came pretty darn sharp from the factory, it was able to shave hair and leave a bald patch on my arm. This is great, but I have also cut myself quite a few times. It's been years since I've carried a knife; let alone a knife that is really sharp. The AXIS lock is excellent! It's a lot of fun engaging and disengaging the knife with a flick of the wrist or flick of the thumb to deploy. The clip is study and appears well made. I've seen people complain about the handle feeling cheap...I personally think it feels like a quality, sturdy knife that will easily tear through small tasks. I have yet to really test the capabilities of this knife; however, I am very pleased with my purchase.
