The bat is much like the CF4 (including the drop) except for apparant better technology in the core. My son had been borrowing a CF4 for the entire season and was hitting better than he had been with his 2009 DiMarini Vendetta, which of course is not a full composite bat. We considered purchasing a CF4, but he really liked the look of the CF5. The bat required the usual break in recommended by the manufacturer, but other than that my son loves it and is hitting as well as he was with the CF4.
