I compared features to many other products, and this mount is a clear winner. It appears to be designed by an engineer who can calculate material stress levels. Very solid piece, I mounted it into 1 1/4 Reese hitch for a hand-and-glove fit. The mounting holes were perfectly aligned, and the black mounting bolt comes with a solid lock to prevent the rack theft. The fit into the Reese hitch is very tight, I used a little bit of silicon grease and couple light taps of the mallet to slide the rack into hitch. Because of a very good fit there is no sway or rocking motion. The upper part of the hanger folds down so I can park in garage, the lower part has a hinge to allow a woman to mount the bike without lifting. The VR-701 has a very good gray paint finish, and is as good, if not better, than much more expensive racks in the $300+ category. One note: to prevent loss of the rubber straps, I used nylon fishing line to tie the last loop of the strap into each cradle threading through its side. To immobilize bikes on the rack, I hang them in the opposing directions for balance and tie with the bungee cord to the vertical arm.
