Timex Ironman Sleek 50-lap Full Black Dial Unisex watch #T5K339 Review

I've been really happy with this watch so far. The only negatives, perhaps, are the negative screen (white digits on black screen), and not being a 150 lap watch. I have an older 30-lap that is standard black digits on white screen and it is definitely easier to read from any angle. This watch still gets it done and you get use to the negative screen after a few days. As for the laps, I wanted to get the 150-lap watch but hear the Tap-screen Ironman makes is horrendous for swimming, which is what I wanted this for. I can still log a 1.5 mile swim, which is good enough for now.

Awesome features:
-The glass on the face is a bit recessed, and the black trim around the face definitely adds some protection. So far, no scratches.
-The 50 lap memory will store and save for later viewing which you can recall by date. If you swim 20-30 laps on Monday, then run 20 laps on Tues, on Wed you can go back and recall each session by date, then find out your lap times, total time, etc.
-3 alarms are a plus.

Regarding the white band: I haven't attempted to scrub/clean it, but I should. The white definitely doesn't have the POP it had out of the box, and it looks like it has started to take some of the coloring from the green trim of a flannel I wear about 4 times a week, but only on the inner, palm side of the band. Other than that it still looks pretty crisp after 1 and a half months. Even if it does dirty further, I'd take this over the black one which seemed a little boring to me. The white plays a weird psychological game with me, and gets me excited to train just looking at it...I know, strange; but it also matches one of my tri-suits, whaattt!!..
