I bought this bag for travel mostly. Something small enough to carry-on a plane with more room than many "normal" backpacks. Something also that has a hip belt so when I hike with lots of water or other gear, and something that is easy to attach gear too, with the Molle system (DSLR camera bags, water pouches, knife, light, etc...) Here's my rundown:

Pros:

-HEAVY DUTY: nylon, zippers, etc... no worries it's going to tear, or break baring explosions, knife attacks, bear attacks, train wrecks, etc...
-Hip belt, and a wide comfortable one that can easily be taken off and put back on
-good internal compartments for water bladder with multiple ports (left, right, center), 3 main compartments, with 2 mesh zippered ones, and an element to hold pens, cell phones, etc... that is removable
-lots and lots of attachment points (molle)

Cons: (for me and my use)

-A little too heavy, it's heavy.
-No waterproof raincover
-A little too tactical looking sometimes...like a "who does that guy think he is" type of look
-Not as breathable of straps or back as some better trekking packs
-Did I mention heavy

All in all, it's a great pack and my only real complain is the one I mentioned twice. A fine buy and high quality.
