The aluminum-handled version of the Flash II is the best all-around pocket knife available today. At this price, it represents the best value as well.

This is more than folder, it's an opening machine. The assisted opening mechanism is smooth as glass, increadibly fast, easy & safe to operate, and performs flawlessly for (in mine) thousands & thousands of cycles. In fact, I far prefer this to any automatic, or other semi-auto design. Yes, it's that's good! Further, the components, materials, fit, and finish are second to none. It's a little "blocky," but once you use it, the inner beauty takes over!

I have accidentally worn my Flash II into ocean, and there were no affects to the finish or internals. (Of course, I sprayed oil into the knife, and blew it out later. Dough!) I've used it to open countless boxes, trimmed plastic & wood, cut paper, leather, and carpet. All I can say is this baby holds an edge, and in the end that's what matters!
