I was initially skeptical of buying Mad Rock's shoes, but after purchasing, and using these shoes, I am happy I did. These are now my main boulder/sport shoes for outside and I've had them for about a month now. The rubber seems to stick fine, and I like the fact that the top is covered in it (makes it really easy to toe hook). The best thing about these shoes is the vacuum suction I hear every time I slide my foot in. They are a bitch to get on, but once they're on, they're super comfy, and they heel hook/toe hook like a dream. Edging seems to be alright with them (I did a really, really thin 11+ face climb with them yesterday, and they edged pretty well), smearing is a bit hard, but they weren't exactly designed for slab climbing. Overall I am happy with the purchase and will probably buy another pair in the future. I wear a size 10-10.5 in my street shoes, and a size 10 with these is a huge squeeze to get on. I recommend going with your street shoe size, but try them on in a store first.
