El Zorro Sword Review

I bought mine at a local retailer about 15 years ago. The sword wasn't sharpened, but I soon took care of that. Once properly sharpened, the sword is worth a lot more then the $120 being asked for it here.

The flaws with the sword, the leather over metal studded grip. I removed the leather and rewrapped it with para-cord. Works well, and is an improvement because the metal doesn't bite into my hand so much.

If you just want a wall hanging show piece, it's good to go right away. If you're looking for a functional sword and have the tools to sharpen the edge and fix the handle, you can't beat the price. Nice springy metal, very tough, and the blunt portion can really soak up a sword to sword strike well.

So what I did besides the re-wrap of the handle. I only sharpened the guard side, leaving the bottom half of the front of the blade blunt for deflection, along with the whole back. This allows me to make cuts without spoiling the sharpened portion when blocking.

If you haven't got the tools to fix this weapon, the cost of them would likely be more then just buying a ready to go sword.

The appeal of the sword as a movie prop is little to me, I enjoy the blade. It's light enough for fencing styles, but hearty enough to knock aside a great sword if your own arm can hold up.

NCAA West Virginia Mountaineers Varsity Letterman Jacket (Navy, XX-Large) Review

This is a great jacket that offers a lot of durability and warmth. The fleece lining keeps you nice and toasty when it's freezing outside. That aside, I truly enjoy the inside pocket that has allowed me to keep my wallet and other valuables safe when attending sporting events. I've subjected the jacket to exposure to outside and inside venues and found it very durable and easy to clean when needed. The collar will pill a small amount over time, but the jacket has been a real trooper for me.

From an "intangibles" perspective, of all the jackets I've owned in my life, I've never owned one that was an automatic conversation starter! I'll be walking in the supermarket and all of a sudden people want to start talking about my jersey and school. I'll be shopping for other items in other stores and people want to know the connection between my jacket and myself. It's kind of neat! (So, if you're shy, I'd really recommend this jersey jacket also!).

Finally, the emblems and graphics are top flight quality and are nicely stitched on the jacket. This has been a great purchase for me and I heartily recommend it to anyone considering honoring one of their favorite schools.

This is a nice sword. The blade is well made unfortunately upon close inspection I did notice a small scratch in the blade. Iv noticed some descriptions state "battle ready" I'm no blade expert but even I know this sword is not something I want to use for anything but display. Cutting anything but fruit would easily damage the sword don't buy this sword if that's what you are looking for. All in all it's a beautiful sword for the money and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a display sword or in my case a sweet addition to my costume for Halloween!

Bat arrived one day before my son's game. He went 3 for 3 in his first game using the bat. I have seen a noticeable improvement in his swing speed. The bat is 3 oz. lighter than his previous bat.
