US PeaceKeeper 52-Inch Drag Case (Medium, OD-Green) Review

I expected this to have thinner material and less padding and was pleasantly surprised when I found more than sufficient padding, very heavy material, heavy duty zippers and what I would consider mil-spec snaps. The tie downs in the inside fit my long barreled rifle perfectly without interfering with the scope and provided good security. The additional pockets provide room for a spotting scope, extra ammunition, range cards and ballistic calculators, a cleaning rod and some field cleaning equipment and more. This is by far the best drag bag I have found out there on the civilian market and would not hesitate to purchase another. The carry handles balance out properly and the backpack shoulder straps seem well placed. Only criticism is that the drag cap, though hinged on one side, could use a snap on the other to secure it better...an easy fix. Highly recommend.

Really well made, straps and clips are all very high quality mil-spec ballistic nylon and plastic.

This pack is really comfortable when fully loaded.

Padded belt is removable - Hint: back pad belt is very difficult to remove due to the high quality construction and very tenacious velcro - to remove, separate one side of the velcro, then pull the clip of the belt backwards through the pass-through on the base of the pack to separate half the velcro from the pass-through; then, pull the rest of the belt out.

Shipping was about lightspeed as usual.

This is a great pack for traveling, camping, touring or hiking.

The Kayano 19 feels great on. It's lightweight and does appear to have more cushioning than the 18. (I sometimes switch between the 2 and I can definitely feel the difference.) But if you're already sold on the Kayano 19 and you're choosing these for the color, they are NOT the color depicted in the photo. And I've viewed them on more than 1 monitor. So either they don't photograph well OR the photo is intentionally misleading. These shoes are a sickening neon color. ...I really wish ASICS would get on the ball with the women's colors. Overall, I think most of them suck.

Hard to go wrong with Columbia products at this price. These are good quality, heavy duty hunting boots. I was hoping for something a little smaller in overall size/bulk, but these are very well made. I have not had them in the cold yet, but, the insulation is reasonably thick, with the nylon shank, should not transfer cold from the ground. I was hoping to replace the 400gram Rocky's, which are less bulky and a great all around boot with these, but the reality is, these will likely replace my big, bulk 1000gram hunting boots.

Like all tall shaft boots, they do bite around the ankles a bit once cinched up tight. An experienced user with this type of boot will tie a knot over the cinched up lower section to keep things tight over the foot. This allows you to cinch to top to your liking and reduce ankle biting until the boots break in properly.

Okuma V-system reels are great, High quality and low cost, each reel comes with a spare spool, a cloth bag for storage and a spare spindle. The reels are very smooth and I would recommend to anyone unless you would like to pay three times the price for a top end Shimano reel. I have the V-65a a V-40a and a V-20a, I have not had any problems with any of the reels.
